Who is happy
is more successful (perhaps)
Faced with economic difficulties, with the looming crisis in all sectors,
the recovery - at least in Europe - that appears much more slower
than expected and, generally, with complex economic and social scenarios, being able to see the glass half full could be the starting point
for a success of company.
At least according to the theorists of "Positive Business",
it is an innovative way of thinking that focuses on the strength
and wellbeing of the individual as strategic levers for growth,
prosperity of businesses and the economy.
This is not the "positive thinking" or optimism for its own sake:
the best practice of successful companies and numerous statistical studies and neuroscience – as experts say - show the close relationship between the wellbeing of the people and the business productivity.
Marco Masella and Enrico Banchi, co-founders of the School of Palo Alto (business school specializing in training and talent management that brings in Italy the teachings of the "Positive Business")
claim: “One is not happy, because he/she is successful,
but one is successful because he/she is happy.”
Is a new way of living and working possible?
It can make a sense. Certainly being able to maintain steady nerves
and psychological strength in a difficult time like what we are facing today is a gift. It is the famous resilience of which psychologists talk
so much or rather the ability to reorganize the proper lives in a positive way in front of difficulties, to cope effectively with the difficulties,
and negative events that will be encountered on the way.
Could this be a new business model?
We feel to recommend it to all; from great captains of enterprises
to small entrepreneurs themselves; cultivating human relationships, rediscovering the practical wisdom, finding the equilibrium between
the natural desire to do the right thing and to be successful...
Trying costs nothing.
