A very
promising year
The opening of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, now in its 53rd edition, is just a few days away (April 8-13). The big event in Milano destined to feature the participation of 1,400 Italian and foreign exhibitors continues acquiring greater importance and higher numbers, having become not only the international reference point in the Home Decor sector, but also a valuable occasion for talented and innovative professionals and interior design lovers as well.
This year’s edition comes with a truly special something extra: a sneak preview of the 2015 MADE Expo that will immediately precede the Milano 2015 World Expo. That particular edition of the MADE Expo being organized for the first time as a biennial (at odd years only) is scheduled to run from March 18 to March 21, 2015, and end just before
the inauguration of the Milano 2015 World Expo. The message recently provided at the MADE Expo presentation was loud and clear: next year’s edition will offer a not-to-be-missed chance for the relaunching of the sector in Italy. Confindustria President Giorgio Squinzi had this to say: “Next year’s edition will be extraordinary, a source of enormous potential to be utilized to greatest advantage”.
Getting back to the imminent international furniture show, Salone Internazionale del Mobile, we’re curious to see what the crucible of ideas and innovation will have to offer this time, and the portent it will provide for this new and crucially important year so rich in opportunities
to be seized fully. This year’s Salone Internazionale del Mobile
is only the first of a full season of prestigious international events
and trade fairs that are essential to the nation, a positive conjunction capable of providing us with the first real presage of optimism.
It’s time to roll up our sleeves: a year passes quickly, and we must
be ready to do the very best that we possibly can.
