XYLEXPO 2014:
the password is WorkTogether
Work together. That’s the essence of the announcement proclaimed at the press conference
for the presentation to European journalists of the Xylexpo biennial furniture and woodworking show
to be held at the Fiera Milano-Rho Trade Fair Grounds from May 13 to May 17, 2014. This is the ideal occasion for an update on the coming edition and the latest data in the sector and a discussion on some of the biggest innovations. The “Xie-Xylexpo Information Event” will give “top exhibitors” the chance to play the protagonist’s role at the meeting with the press and feature the 1st Edition of the Xia-Xylexpo Innovation Awards. In his opening address, Acimall President Lorenzo Primultini reminded those present of the show’s important sponsors, the return of numerous
significant operators in the sector to the show, such as the companies. President Primultini then went
on to welcome the
“top exhibitors”: Salvador, Incomac, Homag Group, Fravol-Uniteam, Wittenstein, Ormamacchine, Cefla Group, Greda, Biesse, Imal-Pal, Giardina Finishing, Finiture, Wde Maspell
and Vitap with evident satisfaction as a further demonstration of the “working together” concept. President Primultini brought his address to conclusion by introducing the Xia-Xylexpo
Innovation Awards: “These are innovation awards not only for products – with a focus on “green economy” topics and the opportunities that “low-consumption” systems offer to final users – but also for “being a business”. Acimall Director Dario Corbetta offered interesting information on the show’s next edition: Xylexpo 2014 is expected to feature the participation of 450 exhibitors in a net display area of little less
than 30 thousand square meters. Info: www.xylexpo.com
Made Expo, Italy’s most popular international trade show for design, building construction, the building envelope, windows
and finishings, return on 2015
MADE expo is a platform for bringing together manufacturers, architects, designers, building contractors, installers, and building construction professionals. So the organisers are already hard at work on MADE expo 2015, due to take place at the Milan Fairgrounds Rho from 18 to 21 March 2015. MADE expo will be more specialised than ever, with four special-interest exhibitions: MADE Constructions and Materials, MADE Building Envelope and Windows, MADE Interiors
and Finishings, and MADE Software, Technologies and Services. Further emphasising the focus on dialogue with architects and designers as much as with producers, distributors and installers, MADE expo 2015 will also be hosting Demo Labs and Archi Labs. MADE expo is more committed than ever to fostering international meetings and deals to boost the export trade and facilitate access to new markets. MADE expo will again be giving exhibitors full use of the International Business Lounge, a special space for B2B meetings between exhibitors and delegations of designers, planners, developers and contractors from every corner of the world. MADE expo is due to take place just two months before the inauguration of EXPO 2015, and will be providing visitors with insights into the contents, technologies and materials used to build the Universal Exposition. “Building the EXPO” will offer visitors to MADE expo
a behind-the-scenes perspective on an event that will bring over 30 million visitors to Milan. For more information www.madeexpo.it
Salone del Mobile 2014 – all the latest
The 53rd edition of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile
is ready to go, along with the biennial EuroCucina and
International Bathroom Exhibition. Some 2,400 exhibitors are
expected, bringing all the very latest furnishing solutions
to Milan. There will also be a major cultural event at the Milan
Fairgrounds, Rho – from 8 to 13 April – involving eight leading
international architects. The 53rd edition of the Salone
Internazionale del Mobile has been split, as usual, into three
style categories – Classic, Modern and Design. More than 1,400
exhibitors from Italy and around the world will be showcasing
their products at both the Salone and the International
Furnishing Accessories Exhibition. This promises to be an
edition with plenty of new ideas and initiatives, testament to the
fact that the Salone del Mobile is an increasingly integral part of the city of Milan, a city where creativity
in design, fashion and culture flourishes unhindered, its influence projected onto the international markets. The 2014 edition of the Salone del Mobile will be a dress rehearsal for Expo 2015, when Milan’s pivotal place on the global scene will again be reaffirmed. For detailed info go to www.cosmit.it
