Cadorin Group presents its “El Caregoon de Quercia” at Made expo 2013, a high design sofa in its new Toc de Toe collection
Cadorin’s Toc de Toe collection has a new star: presented at Made
Expo 2013, its “El Caregoon de Quercia” is an elegant corner sofa
made – like the rest of the collection – from boards obtained from daily cutting of the raw material in the Cadorin plant. These pieces of wood, all shaped and marked by wear and time, are moulded by the expert hands of Cadorin’s carpenters to become a sofa with a truly innovative design, yet still with a traditional feel to it.
Like all the items in the collection, the sofa has a name taken from
the local Venetian dialect: “Caregoon” means “wooden highchair”,
in the sense of a large imposing chair. Equally impressive are the two
Oak planks that form the base of this sofa. In fact, the two planks
used to create the sofa are 4m long, over 1m wide and 8cm thick.
A bit country and a bit romantic, “El Caregoon de Quercia” is the
perfect furnishing solution for exclusive spaces that highlight the fine aesthetic results of the natural wood. Like all the other pieces in the “Toc de Toe” collection, “El Caregoon de Quercia” is designed to match or stand out from different surfaces, on the floor or walls, to create surprising unique effects. The “El Caregoon de Quercia” sofas can be personalised in both form and size, as well as the timber used (Pear, Walnut, Cherry, etc.) and the eye-catching finishes and removable fabric or leather upholstery. The corner sofa can thus become
an armchair or a straight sofa. The craftsmen at Gobbo Salotti provide the upholstery for the “El Caregoon de Quercia” sofa. The 100% natural stonewashed linen comes in delicate patterns and mellow shades,
in harmony with the oak planks; the padding is polyurethane foam coated in a laminate resin, while
