A beautiful wooden deck for the garden is at the top of the wish list for many people. However, as many will know, after a few months of wind and weathering the results can be clearly seen. UV rays have greyed the wood surface and moisture has created a nutrient rich environment for algae and fungal attack to thrive upon. Not only the overall optic of the decking is distorted but the green growth can cause the surface to become slippery. Osmo is helping consumers to avoid uncomfortable “slip ups” with its newly developed Anti-Slip Decking Oil. The clear oil based product contains special particles which help to reduce the risk of slipping as well as offering a small amount of UV protection and preventing the build up of green growth and mould.
As for all Osmo oil based natural wood finishes, the new Anti-Slip Decking Oil is based on renewable vegetable oils, the surface remains open pored and elastic. The surface not only retains its natural optic but, after application, appears ’refreshed’.
