The USA wood flooring trade body, the National Wood Flooring Association is to agree the adoption of parts of its installation manual by BWFA (British Wood Flooring Association’s).
The extensive USA document is to form the basis of best practice in the UK and it will be thoroughly revised for the UK market by the BWFA technical committee. The NWFA is highly regarded worldwide for its very high technical standards in wood flooring installation.
Located for the first time in Warsaw, Poland, the destination proved a popular choice with AHEC (American Hardwood European Convention) welcoming over 170 delegates from over 20 countries around the world. Held bi-annually, the Convention is a staple of the international timber industry’s calendar, providing networking for the timber trade and updates on market conditions, forecasts and trends which will impact on their business in the future.
A family celebration was held at the company premises in Zell am Moos last weekend to mark the opening of a further 20,000 m³ of warehouse capacity. This was also an opportunity for the members of the Neuhofer Holz workforce to convince themse lves of the productivity of the internationally act ive co m pany. T he ne w wa reho use wa s co mp lete d on schedule a few weeks ago and has achieved its objective of providing a further extension and merging logistics at a central location for which 100,000 m³ of capacity is planned for the future. «Due to a welcome large order, the curren t investment has now b ecome abs olutely vital which is a very positive impetus for us», Franz Neuhofer jun. enthuses. «It is an oppo rtunity for us to celebrate with ou r employees».
