5 Star Jewel

  • Written by

Oak Parquet and oak boiserie stained with stainless steel, and Teck floor, those are the choices of Giovanni Colombari, answering to a 5 star hotel, the newest Relais San Lorenzo in Bergamo.

Open in July, Relais San Lorenzo is in Piazza Mascheroni expanded and with a new face because of the refined renovation of the architect Adolfo Natalini.
Modern and stylish the relais is part of the urban landscape with architectural choices of great value, wich reflect inside in the extreme attention to detail. Incredible charme the Hosteria -bar and restourant- that is located within the ancient Roman, Medieval and Renaissance walls emerged during the restoration work; a striking blend of old and new is also open to the public through a glass walkway accessible from the square.
Impeccable taste refined by experience has led to the study and implementation of the parquet that affects each of the 30 rooms at the relay, as well as some common parts. The color of the oak was made specifically for a darker shade of brown, indicated to match the furniture in rosewood; the treatment, oil for parquet and varnish for the boiserie, with open-pore effect enhances the beauty of the wood, ensuring the parameters of fire resistance. Customized baseboards in stainless steel contribute to complement the beauty of the stained oak. The care of the family Colombari ends with the SPA and the choices for sauna, massage and relaxation, a lighter Teck with an optimal moisture resistance.
To the particularities of the project we will dedicate an extensive article in the next issue of Professional Parquet.
