Kenya, crossed by the Equator with a climate that varies from tropical to desert, has succeeded in creating a big business opportunity in its capital, Nairobi. With an annual growth rate of 2.6%, the nation appears to have reached stabilization following the difficulties it overcame in the new millennium’s first decade, and is now one of the biggest markets in Africa.
Buildexpo Africa 2011 (June 11-13, Nairobi), now in its 14th edition with exhibitors from 30 nations, envisions a 20% increase in its number of exhibitors operating in the sector over last year (in 2010, it was visited by a total of 18,600 operators in the sector, most from other African nations).
