‘Vintage’ oak floors

  • Written by

Kährs has launched a trend-setting collection of oak floors, united by a strong vintage look achieved by highly skilled craftsmen. Wooden butterflies, cracks, knots and knotholes characterise Kährs new wood floor collection Da Capo, which sets a new trend on the market with its vintage look. The dramatic surfaces of these floors are unique, adding interest to any interior design, as well as warmth and a touch of old world charm.
The new Da Capo Collection is the ultimate artistic wood flooring range. It includes nine oak floors, ranging from brown to almost black, all united by their extremely rustic appearance. This has been achieved through a great amount of manual work performed by highly skilled craftsmen. A lot of attention is paid to each plank, including hand scraping and oiling. The floors, with their cracks and knots, give an impression of bygone times.
All floors throughout the Da Capo Collection are crafted from sustainable oak and feature a multi-layered construction, which uses hardwood down to the joint only, with fast-growing timber below. The floors can be refreshed and maintained in exactly the same way as a solid floor and the ‘criss-cross’ build offers additional performance benefits, including 75 per cent greater stability.
All floors are also offered with a 30-year guarantee.
